If you place lower than 25, don't worry—you may still receive an invitation, so be prepared for the possibility of joining in on the fun!

*Range Officers who serve throughout the year will be extended an invite in appreciation for their efforts regardless of Top Ops standings.

There will be no fee charged for registration. Proof of a generous donation to https://frontlinehealingfoundation.org/ will be the only financial requirement for participation.

MISSION:

This event will be a ruck and gun challenge where participants will use GPS and compass skills to find their way to an overnight bivouac site. Small groups will set out together, navigating through unflagged desert terrain to a common campsite while completing shooting stages along the route.

Each participant will need to carry everything they require to camp comfortably for the night. The following morning, they will navigate back to the parking site, encountering additional shooting stages along the way. The total course distance and the exact number of stages are still to be determined.

DATE AND TIME:

November 15th & 16th, 2025. Set up will begin a couple days prior. Help appreciated!

AOR:

Classified Location near Presidio Texas.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: The setup crew will arrive on the 12th. Everyone is welcome from then until the evening of the 14th. On the 15th, small groups will leave base camp for the bivouac site with necessary supplies.

Half the groups will take the East route and half the West route. They will use GPS and maps to navigate from stage to stage until they reach the bivouac site, with an estimated 6-8 stages on each route. Stages will mainly involve rifles and some pistols. Navigation markers will have codes to confirm location and stage details. Groups will move through stages without wait times and cannot linger on stages.

Once at the bivouac site, daytime activities end. Set up your area and relax until dark. After dark, there will be 4 night stages, mostly with pistols and some rifles, all close to the bivouac site, so no more rucking is needed. Night stages will be cleared the morning of day two.

On day two, groups will pack up and return to base camp, following reverse routes. Shooting stages will be completed in reverse order from day one. Once back at base camp, activities stop, and times and scores will be recorded.

Drop cards at the designated area, then groups will use vehicles to collect targets, posts, stands, markers, and brass. Many hands will make the work easier and help the setup crew, who spent many hours preparing.

COURSE OF FIRE: Each stage will have a limited number of rounds, but targets will be tough to hit from different positions. We will use only natural terrain, so bring your own support.

Daytime stages will mainly involve rifles and some pistols, while nighttime stages will focus mostly on pistols with a few rifles. There will be lighting for targets more than 50 yards away. Don't mix gun belts with rucksacks; make sure to leave space inside your ruck.

LODGING: Camping with no facilities. We'll leave base camp for one night, so make sure to secure any valuables. Bring needed items to the bivouac site. Water and heavy supplies can be transported there before we leave.
