Bailout Biathlon Range Officer Registration

If you have served as a Range Officer (RO) at a Mystery Ops event, please feel free to sign up. If we're acquainted and you've been an RO elsewhere, go ahead and register. If we haven't met, let's have a conversation before you sign up at MysterylightsRNG@outlook.com.

This is the registration for Range Officers for the competition on Friday, June 7th, and for Event Staff on Saturday, June 8th, in Leakey, Texas. Registration is complimentary, and we deeply appreciate your assistance with the event and your commitment to the sport.

ROs may be assigned to any of the 11 stages, the headquarters, or as a course rover on Saturday. Bringing your ATV/UTV would be greatly beneficial for transportation across the ranch. Four-wheel drive and high clearance are necessary in certain areas. If you lack these, we will ensure you reach your destination.

Please note that there is no lodging available at the ranch, but tent and RV camping are permitted. RV hookups are available with electricity and water, but there is no septic service. You are welcome to arrive as early as Thursday, June 6th.

Non-participating spectators and family members are welcome to a reasonable extent, but please note they might be asked to assist. Spectators may accompany a range officer on the course but are not permitted to enter the course alone. Surveying the course or hiking on the ranch before or during the competition is strictly prohibited.

All range officers, participants, and spectators must sign liability waivers. These will be available at the headquarters before your participation.

Participants will receive an event t-shirt at the headquarters upon completing the courses. Additional t-shirts will be available for purchase at the awards ceremony, subject to availability. To ensure you get an extra shirt, please place an order in advance on our website.

A traditional RO dinner will take place on Friday night. On Saturday, we will provide breakfast, lunch, and popsicles.

The awards dinner cookout will occur after the competition concludes on June 8th.

We are accepting the first 40 range officers. Please assess your commitment level before volunteering as a range officer. Last-minute cancellations can be disruptive, so we ask for your careful consideration.
